West Bagborough, a small village climbs through trees on the western flank of the Quantocks. Taunton and the sea at Watchet, both 9 miles away. Sandy beach (Blue Anchor) about 12 miles. Nearest shops and steam railway at Bishop's Lydeard, 2.5miles. Two cottages The Mouse House and Honeysuckle Cottage are excellent self-catering cottages made from the stables of Higher House, facing a sunny courtyard and swimming pool with solar cover, only 200yards from a popular Inn.
The cottages look out over the two acre garden of flowers and lawns to stunning views across the Vale of Taunton to the Brendon and Blackdown Hills. A very fine hard tennis court in the house grounds is available to all guests. Access to the Quantocks is very easy for walkers, riders and cyclists.
Both cottages are light and attractively designed. Fitted with locally made beech kitchens and cupboards.Both are warm, all year round cottages. Discount available if both cottages taken together- except at peak times.
The smaller cottage, The Mouse House, has paintings and craft artifacts in a comfortable living / dining / fitted kitchen with washing machine and microwave. Stairs up to a large bedroom with 6ft bed, overlooking the poolwith bathroom suite + hand held shower.
Honeysuckle Cottage also has a good size kitchen/dinning room (with washing machine and microwave) with find old beams, small country sitting room well furnished. Upstairs two bedrooms, one 5ft bed(or 2x 2'6" twin) with pool/garden views and one single. Bathroom suite with hand shower.
No children under 10 except for pre-crawling babies and no smoking.
